VW will produce electric vehicles in China

Volkswagen AG announced about the signing of an agreement with the largest Chinese automaker SAICMotor Corporation Ltd, concerning the beginning of the production of hybrid electric vehicles for the largest auto market in the world. The first electric vehicles will be produced in Shanghai in four years. German carmaker Volkswagen AG and the largest Chinese automobile Corporation SAIC Motor announced about the signing of a partnership agreement for the production of hybrid electric vehicles for the Chinese market. They will be carried out an existing joint factory in Shanghai. In total 15 different models, starting from hybrid and fully electric will be produced. The agreement is a part of VW's strategy, which includes investment in China auto market, amounting to 22 billion euro until the end of 2019. Chinese market is growing for electric vehicles and hybrids production. The Chinese authorities have demonstrated their interest in clean technologies, and monstrous smog, which sometimes covers major Chinese cities, making electric vehicles not only interesting, but also desirable for consumers.

China has its own electric vehicle manufacturer-Kandi Technologies. Also, the market represented by the American manufacturer of luxury electric vehicles, the Tesla.

Nissan Leaf will become stronger

The car can run without interruption up to 275 kilometers at full charge. According to the company, the cost of the new item will not reach 100 thousand dollars. As the basis will be used a unique aluminum platform that is ideal for the "support" of a sports car.

Alliance: Renault-Nissan has sold 200 thousand electric vehicles

The Renault-Nissan Alliance has managed to sell 200 thousand cars in a year. The Alliance currently holds 58% zero emission car segment. Electric vehicles Renault and Nissan together drove more than 4 billion miles. Thus it saved 200 million liters of fuel, and the atmosphere didn’t get 450 million kilograms of carbon dioxide. From January to November of this year, Renault-Nissan sold 66 500 electric cars, which is by 20 percent more than the same period last year. Thus, two of the three top-selling electric vehicles is made by Renault-Nissan alliance. The most successful electric vehicle in the world is still Nissan Leaf. Just coffee range includes 6 models of the Alliance, including the urban «hypermini» from Nissan, Renault Twizy and e-Nissan NV200 van. We remind that Nissan can reduce the production of batteries for electric cars because of the developing cooperation between Renault and LG Chem. Nissan company recognizes that by its capabilities is behind the LG Chem for at least six months in terms of price and battery life. And while the decision on the reduction has been made, according to some sources, the Guide Nissan already is negotiating with other producers to give them expiring power. One of such partners can become LG.
